The Department of Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 2003 to offer undergraduate degree programs in Mechanical Engineering. The department has grown from strength to strength since its inception and currently has 22 well-qualified, experienced, and dedicated faculty with PG degree specializations in all interdisciplinary areas of Mechanical Engineering. Sixteen faculty members hold Ph.D. degrees, and one faculty member is actively pursuing a doctoral degree. The department provides a stimulating environment for research activities under the supervision of Professors who hold Ph.D. degrees from prestigious institutions like Anna University. These faculty members are recognized supervisors of Anna University Chennai, guiding Ph.D. students in various research domains.
